Part 11 - When barriers emerge, seek creative ways to achieve your goals.

February 23, 2017

14 REFLECTIONS FROM 2016 TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE AMAZING THINGS IN 2017.

Part 11. When barriers emerge, seek creative ways to achieve your goals.

Hit a few roadblocks in your time? We all have.

While some things in life flow easily, in other areas of life we can feel like we are running a never ending steeplechase. But it’s not all bad.

The great thing about set backs, barriers and road blocks is they force us to rethink things. They also kick start our innovation and creativity. After all, if things were easy all the time, life would be boring. We’d only need to put one foot in front of the other. And never have to be creative or think much about anything. Would we?

Getting around, over and through the barriers needs us to be willing to think outside the square, try new things, connect with what is in your heart and think differently.

That’s it.

Sometimes, when life throws you roadblocks, its really just trying to tell you something. Like maybe you are missing something and you need the message repeated again, or you just aren’t paying attention to the signs staring you in the face.

It’s time to take stock and ask yourself again, where am I going anyway?

Barriers are nothing more than an opportunity in disguise. A time to step back, reflect and work out what’s most important to you, what will feed your soul.

Do you know what this is for you? Do you know what your heart is craving? Have you truly connected with the journey you need to take?

You see the thing is, reflection is a daily habit which can really serve you beautifully. If you’ll let it. Step back, observe for a bit and then move forward again with a clearer sense of where you are going and what you are wanting.

It’s all well and good to create the life you want to live. But you are going to need to adapt and change along the way – no doubt about it. There is no point formulating a plan for yourself if you are not going to step back from time to time and re-evaluate it.

Sure perhaps you are totally on the right track. Great!

But perhaps there are a few tweaks and changes you still need to implmenent. Or perhaps it’s a total about face….

You are not going to know until you are truly on your journey and experiencing your dreams wherther or not they are going to serve and fulfil you, or hold you back.

You know you can overthink things which is not going to help you unless you are planning on giving yourself a heart attack. Getting in touch with the vision and the deepest desires of your heart is not an occasional activity. It’s something you need to connect with, day in and day out. Ask yourself daily how am I feeling about everything? Am I on the right track? What is my heart telling me?

Your heart will speak to you resoundingly - if you let it. Listen to it. Connct with what it is telling you and then decide how you’ll find your way back.

It’s not rocket science. It’s just really about taking some time out and really listening. Slow your mind down and give your heart a chance to speak. Let it say it’s piece. I can guarantee it will be worth it.

You’ll know when you’ve connected with the heart because you will absolutely KNOW what you need to do next. It will be surprising, exciting and comforting. And you’ll feel absolutely amazing. You’ll be excited and inspired and raring to go on to the next thing.
